Project

The family that pays together, stays together

Can managing a family budget be a team effort? We’re looking into ways that grown-ups and kids can work together to get more from their money.

Project Details

The ‘Family Challenge’ project is all about designing activities that help families solve problems together.

It’s based on how the family unit and the way it interacts is changing. While it was once normal to sit around a dinner table in the evenings and talk about your day, now, sofa dinners or meals accompanied by screens are a typical way of life. It seems that many kids are glued to electronic devices from the moment they learn to walk.

We want to challenge this disconnect and bring the team back together, get families used to working together, from climbing a local hill to having a picnic, through to clubbing together to save up for a family break.

The question is, what’s the best way to do it? Digitally, physically or mentally?
